MY PAL IS SUCH GOOD COMPANY

Matthew came with me on Sunday to the Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival. He was thrilled with the music and the friendly crowds and always makes me enjoy being out. He didn't think he would like "jazz" but turned to me when we reached Marine Park and expressed a wish that his whole family was there. He wanted to make "reservations". I explained that it was free and only one weekend. And weren't we lucky to be there.

We then went and bought the soundtrack for Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I must be crazy!

YUP - BACK IN THE HOSPITAL

Even the Assisted Living can't keep dad out of the emergency room. How will he ever manage alone?

This time its his pulse/blood pressure - must be too low. At least its not his sugar....or maybe I should wish it was. I dunno. Sick is sick.

MY CAR IS A DISASTER AREA - THANK GOD!

I will never complain about all the junk I carry around again - the flotsam and jetsam I collect from Dad's house, Matt's room, and assorted other places. (like I'll never complain about the heat of the summer after a long, cold winter......) But anyway, I managed, out of the bowels of my car (no pun intended) to pull out a makeshift toilet and papertowels and a beach towel for covering the bare bum. The bum that resulted when Matt had a major accident in a storage area where there was no sign of a toilet. I put the box in the corner and he sat right down to relieve his already leaking bowels. He was obviously in distress, poor little guy. We stripped off his pants, boxers and shoes, wrapped him in a towel and went straight back to the group home. Disposable toilet and clothes got thrown away - I will now replace items in my car because you never know when an emergency will occur.

Oh, and Matt didn't forget to offer to help as he stood with his pants around his ankles and his willy dangling in the wind. He is a very thoughtful guy!

READ MY HEAD

Seems to me its hard enough for a mentally disabled man to grasp the concept of "read my lips". but when my brother Matthew vigorously nodded in response to my negative head shake to his request for dessert and said "read my head" I nearly fell over laughing. And I was blown away.

He is amazing
