Matt tried reaching out to me last night, asking when he would get to see me. I am pretty strung out with all this job stuff and I told him not until this weekend could I manage it. He asked if we could do brunch on Sunday, brother/sister, and I said I would have to let him know. Then, in the background at the group home I heard someone call his name and he hung up. God, in hindsight, I think about all the possibilities of verbal abuse that might be going on
I got word today that a staff member may be calling Matt names, teasing him - what if he was reaching out for help and I didn't come to his aid? What if something has been going on and nobody was paying attention.
I am glad this week of work is over. I really will have to think long and hard about this.
